SFF emphasizes their commitment to showcasing LGBTQ voices by bringing together both local community members and celebrated filmmakers for a panel discussion. This year they  believed they would be remiss if they didn't address the urgent and ongoing conversation surrounding representation in filmmaking, media, and the intersection between race and LGBTQ identities."  - Sarasota Film Festival 2017
